The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) operates under a unique legal framework distinct from the region’s traditional civil law systems. That framework continues to develop at speed, bringing with it increasing complexity: new rules, new concepts, and an evolving structure that can be difficult to navigate with confidence.

In that context, Arkta began as a project driven by professional curiosity — a place to organise and examine the rules, concepts, and developments that shape the AIFC’s legal environment. Over time, that personal effort to understand the system more clearly has grown into a broader initiative to present that understanding in a structured and accessible way.

The aim is to contribute to clearer discussion of the framework by organising and contextualising complex regulatory concepts.
